Luckily you don't have to base your knowledge on local Finnish weather on my blog writings, since the the last one still had snow 😂. Actually, we still had snow, at least here in Porvoo, on April 20th. And the weather changed from -20C to + 20C in no time! May was a bit of a climate mayhem, we had 16 "hellepäivä", which means that the temperature exceeds 25 degrees. So in May the wood anemones, midsummer roses (Finnish white rose) and lilies of the valley were all blooming at the same time.

Suddenly the whole old town has woken up from hibernation. My favorite hobby when eating my lunch on the steps of my shop is observing the people (and dogs) passing by on Välikatu.
Who needs Tokyo, Paris or Milan, when you have Porvoo Old Town?!
These were the best two mustaches of the month!
And these two the best dressed dogs of the month!
We are really enjoying our new home at Runeberginkatu. Despite the local summer night cruising and acceleration driving on the streets with non-existing or tuned exhaust pipes.
Our unofficial janitor of the house, Oili, has been living in the house for 30 years now. She is an artist and a gallerist, and she keeps a gallery in our attic. This painting is by Alpo Jaakola.
Our home is by no means ready, but we've had some friends and family over.
We have been out at the local terraces and restaurants a few times also...
Sometimes until the closing time...Johanna from Cellar was very understanding though ♥
But it's not just plain fun, I work seven days a week. This is the first summer on Välikatu 5 for Taiga Colors. I really really love this street ♥
Lucy has changed into summer outfit.
Well, sometimes working can be a bit of a party too. Like when Fredericka comes around with a small bottle of bubbly ♥
Or when we decide to have a glass of bubbly with Islander's Amanda ♥
It has not been only fun and work, work and fun. I have been doing bike trips almost every night during the last 6 weeks. One evening Perttu and I went with our bikes to Varlaxudden in Emäsalo, 53 km back and forth. And of course I had to jump into the sea.
On another bike trip I jumped into the water right next to the road.
The only problem was, that I didn't really think how to get back up 😂. The edge was steep, and the ground was full of really sharp gravel.
We also went orienteering a few times. And found lots of great egrets ♥
Porvoo is just an hour away from Helsinki, and is teeming with life and history. The town is full of fun boutiques and nice restaurants and coffee shops. Do you have plans to visit our lovely Porvoo Old Town in near future?
