THERE IS A NEW KID IN TOWN....and she is sassy!

Oh my...time really flies.

It has been far too long since I last wrote here. A whole year, in fact. The last time was about Mel Gibson wandering through Porvoo Old town and somehow managing to miss my shop completely. I could give you a dozen excuses. The kind that involve life, business, and a terrifying number of coffee cups..

WHAT? A YEAR since your last post?! Oh, for heaven's sake, hand me the keyboard! No wonder this place feels dusty. 

Hi. Bess Bombon here. Yes, THAT Bess Bombon. The new kid in town. The one with a sharper tongue than your granny's sewing scissors and a kitchen hotter than a sauna in July. 

Here is the deal. She has been busy. Since last November she has been busy writing Diving Deep, a fictional story of themes like trauma healing, war, love, value clashes and corruption. 

I am the protagonist. That is right, the whole damn novel about yours truly. And when she wasn't writing about me, we have been working together on our cookbook Not Your Average Lunch Box — a plant based, fun-as-hell, music-paired love letter to food. And yes, every recipe is also gloriously gluten-free and dairy-free.

But don't panic. I might be here to stay, but I am not tossing Porvoo out with yesterday's coffee grounds. I will still be serving up the prettiest corners of this town. 

So buckle up, sugar plum. This is my kitchen now. Stick around, you will never know what I serve next. And neither do I, to be honest.
